The design I chose for my Oreo was the piano from the Joy Luck Club. I chose to create the piano because of how the piano was incorporated in the book. June, the main character in the Joy Luck Club, is forced to play the piano by her mother in order to find her a special talent that June may have. When going through the process of playing the piano June hates it and does not want to do it, however her mother is just trying to help her become skilled at a certain hobby. To me the piano means do something you want to do in your life and if you do not find joy in that hobby, you should reconsider it.
One Oreo that I liked from one of my classmates was the yin and yang that was also from the Joy Luck Club. It was really nicely detailed and brought the culture from the book on to an Oreo which is neat!
